In 3D equations, the simple form is z = x^2 - y^2. An edible example would be a Pringle. This equation only covers two cycles of maximum and minimum. I'm not sure what the others would be to create more ruffles around a central point.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10301121.post-40537502521527264922015-01-13T09:40:02.471-05:002015-01-13T09:40:02.471-05:00Thank you, Paul. They're almost like an inside out d form...Cyndi Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01564900810103675653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10301121.post-66441158306968377632015-01-13T08:54:23.352-05:002015-01-13T08:54:23.352-05:00That wavy resulting shape has the layman's ter...That wavy resulting shape has the layman's tern "saddle" in math circles. It's the graph of a specific set of equations in three dimensions. I'll see if I can find the technical term.Paul Bishopnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10301121.post-62893482911730438612015-01-12T20:25:10.079-05:002015-01-12T20:25:10.079-05:00This looks interesting, can't wait to see what...This looks interesting, can't wait to see what you do with it<br />Marjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05577438925268149809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10301121.post-8124189325093206752015-01-12T12:12:06.345-05:002015-01-12T12:12:06.345-05:00OK, this is a post I will have to read and reread....OK, this is a post I will have to read and reread...how cool!!!!!
