But it's not a particularly strong bond and I'm afraid that the flexing that you'd get from a wearable piece would pop the bond.Cyndi Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01564900810103675653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10301121.post-50232501702663265032010-05-22T13:41:40.097-04:002010-05-22T13:41:40.097-04:00I hate to be a wet blanket, but I don't think ...I hate to be a wet blanket, but I don't think there is a glue that will stick to silicone. My hubby has worked a lot with aquariums and pumps. He says not even silicone glue will bond to dry silicone.

How about embedding metals prongs into the polymer clay before baking to hold the rubber glass?Eileen The Artful Crafterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11281091759658067977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10301121.post-24008246699425105882010-05-19T10:59:27.831-04:002010-05-19T10:59:27.831-04:00The problem with wire wrapping is that it fracture...The problem with wire wrapping is that it fractures pretty easily. I've already shared a tutorial where the wire was embedded *in* the silicone, and that worked well, but it would be hard to manipulate anything but very thin wire around the outside of the silicone without causing it to split.Cyndi Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01564900810103675653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10301121.post-65771156569162539162010-05-19T09:58:59.660-04:002010-05-19T09:58:59.660-04:00Maybe just wire wrap the pieces. Glad you are experimenting for us all though.Heatherhttp://aquariart-chocoholic.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
