Bead Journal Project, 2010

On January 1, 2010 the third season of the Bead Journal Project began.  I was thrilled to get back to it…the discipline of knowing that I have to make something for a series really motivates me.

Here’s my piece for January: I've decided to make a bead-embroidered bracelet for each month. Even though January is pretty bleak in New England, I always look forward to each new year…the hope and promise of something new. That’s why it’s brightly colored and sparkly

Thanks Jean! Are you doing the BJP? I know you usually do other forms of beading, but you've made some gorgeous embroidered pieces.
Cyndi, that is gorgeous! What fun...I really have to join in next year!

Thanks June! I highly highly recommend it, and I wish you would! The size of each piece is up to the participant, although they're all supposed to be the same size once you start. I've found the smaller sizes to be motivating without being a burden :-)
That's beautiful, Cyndi!

I'm off to check out the project. Thanks for the link.

I really want to get back to beading. Something like this would keep me on track - well maybe;-)

Lovely, happy bracelet, Cyndi!!! This is the way to make lemonaid from lemons... like a granddaughter being so far away. Know that must be a great loss for you at this time. You'll have such a great time wearing your bracelets over the years and remembering the events of 2010 each time!

Thank you so much for all your feedback! Robbie, I've never seen Margaret's pattern...I'll have to go explore.

Beadingprincess, that is exactly my plan! I'll be writing up a tutorial before too much longer. I've got all the process photos, just need to format everything :-)
