Book review and giveaway: Stitch Workshop Peyote Stitch

Stitch Workshop: Peyote Stitch: Basic Techniques, Advanced Results

If you are subscribed to Bead&Button magazine, you've already seen most of these projects, but it's so nice to have them all gathered into one helpful volume.  Stitch Workshop: Peyote Stitch is the newest addition to Kalmbach's excellent teaching books.  All the basics are introduced in the beginning of the book: flat peyote, circular, tubular, two-drop, increasing and decreasing, zipping up, and making bezels.

Then it's on to the projects.  Maybe you are already a lover of peyote stitch.  That's good, because you'll find lots of challenging projects here that will stretch your mastery.  If you are a beginner, don't despair!  There are projects here for you too, shorter in time commitment and a bit less challenging in scope.

Oh I have a special connection to peyote stitch that a good many people probably share -- it was the first bead weaving stitch that I learned and I *loved* it and searched for patterns and thought I'd never have another favorite stitch. Well, *that* changed, but I do still love seeing what I can do with peyote! I'd love a new beading book.
Thanks,
Allie

Such a simple stitch with such wonderful possibilities. I'm only just starting to explore just how versatile peyote stitch really is (I've been enjoying brick stitch too much to branch out, silly me!)

Cheers for the great review :)
