I can’t remember a time when I haven’t been creative in some form or another. Winning an art contest at my grade school was the start of my lifelong love of the arts. I love making unusual designs that frees up my creativity and stretches me as an artist. I take my inspiration from nature and my love of color.
When I have an idea for a new piece, I start with a theme and then I allow the stone, bead or object to tell me what it wants to be. I never know for sure what the finished piece will look like till it is done. I love to mix colors that others would never think of mixing in a single piece. I consider my jewelry wearable works of art.
I see myself as an artist who has helped to advance the arts by founding the Central PA Bead and Jewelry Society a nonprofit organization, where jewelry artist can find workshops and support for their craft.
