Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow!! Back in September, I wrote a review of Seed Bead Fusion by Rachel Nelson-Smith. Well, I now have a copy to GIVE AWAY!!!
As I wrote in my review, Rachel enjoys mixing it up. Even if you don't have a lot of experience with seed beads, I can still recommend it to you. As complicated as the projects appear, they are all based upon a few very basic stitches and wirework, all of which are profiled in the techniques section. Even if you've only started beading recently, if you are willing to practice the basics, you'll be able to follow along with Rachel's instructions. There are very clear illustrations and photos to take you through each and every step.
So here's my question for you: if you work with seed beads already, what do you most like making? If you don't work with them yet, what would you most like to be making? :-) Leave me a comment below, and you will automatically be entered into the drawing, which will take place next Wednesday evening.
Note: I've also got giveaways for different books starting today, Dec 9, 2009 on Jewelry & Beading and on Mixed Media Artist. Feel free to sign up for those too!
As regards FTC disclosure guidelines: I have received this book free of charge from Interweave Press in order to be able to offer it free to you. I have not been paid for my endorsement as it pertains to the products received.

I am a peyote stitch fiend! I love beadweaving, especially cuffs!
I'm only using beads to make strings for my Fimo pendants or to crochet with them. Would love to learn a peyote stitch in a future.
I love tying new stitches by making bracelets...Satisfies my design desire and my impatience!

My fav stitches are RAW, brick and spiral rope. I mostly make necklaces, tho I do venture into bracelets too.
I love using seedies for peyote sticht, flat, tubular and 3d, but I also make some herringbone or raw. I use these techniques to make jewelry and little beaded objects.
I'm a big fan of seedbeads and RAW but am just starting beadweaving. I love making bracelets the best. I began stringing about two years ago but quickly discovered that Beadwork was my favourite magazine. I'm still intimidated by using the tiny beads but really love them. 2010 is my year to learn!
My love is bead embroidery so I use a lot of seed beads. I love them because they are little vials of paint and I can't paint so I paint with beads.
I'm a painter and I've been wanting to include seed beads to add dimension to my paintings. I'm also a knitter and the different waves and patterns used in this book are very inspiring!
I love all kinds of beadweaving, but peyote and RAW have a special place in my heart :)

I have done some work with peyote stitch and right-angle weave, but I want to step out and try new things.
I first started using seed beads to make earrings while doing living history reenactment. I want to learn more, from the peyote stitch to chrochet.
I am currently working on a number of right-angle-weave projects. This off-loom beadweaving stitch is very versatile. Thanks for the chance to win. Happy beading.
Peyote and Bead Embroidery are my favorites.

I LOVE seed beads...playing with the combination of different colors to make necklaces...but it may be time for a new challenge or two!
I use seed beads and I love to make necklaces and bracelets using the spiral stitches. I am however now making a lot of things using netting technique. I want to get more involved with RAW but it seems to confuse me. I need to work more with RAW.
Oh, how I'd love it if this giveaway was open to non-americans (just assume the postage would be too expensive). This is a book I've been wanting to read for a long time.
When it comes to seed beads I seem to prefer light and lacy stitches like netting, RAW, pondo, african helix (just tried it for the first time) etc. With or without embellishment. In the near future I think I'll do some more bead embroidery, try to find my own style, preferably some sort of mixed media.
I use seed beads in various beadweaving projects- mainly peyote, and I do a lot of bead embroidery, which I love.
When I picked up my beads again this year, I planned to learn wireworking techniques. But what started as a small venture into beadweaving still has me in its grip. Any stitch I'm working on for the first time drives my crazy. Working in peyote, spiral rope or square stitch is comfortable to me now. I love the possibilities of color and shape possible with beadweaving. I mostly make bracelets because there are so many techniques & colorways I want to play with, and I want to try them NOW. :)
I'm really into bead embroidery at the moment but I tend to go back and forth between it and free form peyote. :)
I just began making some metal pendants, but I really want to incorporate wire work and seed beads. I have tons of seed beads back from my middle school days and would love to find a new use for them. Thanks for a chance to win!
far I've made seed bead rings and done bead embroidery. Am interested in trying more things!
I love to use seed beads to set off larger focal beads in jewelry. The play of light can be lovely and the focal beads really pop.
I made some beaded earrings with peyote stitch and would like to try some more.

I would be interested in trying to use them with some multi-media earrings I have an idea for.

My sister is the bead-er among us...I just use them to accent stitching...great fun for a give away though!
I use seed beads almost exclusively because I love making large beaded valances for windows: I adore how the sunlight make those tiny donuts of color glow. Best stitch I've found for these is brickstitch.
what fun! i love to bead leaves, any and all kinds....
I love making something entirely new.

I keep looking longingly at beads and patterns but just afraid to take that first step. This book might just be the answer
Hi! I'm new to jewelry making but use seed beads alot with my paper crafting and card making. I'm working on a project now, it's a box with glitter lined clouds and used thread and blue seed beads to act as raining pouring down. I hate it when i get a bead so small it won't fit on my needle! =) Anyway, as I said I'm new to jewelry making and have a few basic supplys. Heading to Hobby Lobby next week to find some books to get me started!! =)
I am new on the jewelery making scene but I would love to learn to make the seed bead cuffs I have seen around.
They are seriously cool!
This book looks AWESOME!
