Book review and giveaway: Beading In No Time

Beading in No Time: 50 Step-by-step Designs for Beautiful Bead Jewelry

Such fun! When I went on my last vacation, I took Beading In No Time by Linda Peterson with me, and I'm so glad that I did.  You know how some books just seem to be variations on the same technique or theme, over and over again?  Well, this isn't one of them!  It seems instead like Linda must have said, "Let's see how many different ideas I can fit into 176 pages..."  Published by Cico Books, this volume is a gem.

Fifty gorgeous projects.  Yup, 50 of them, graduating from simple and fast to more complicated.  But even the more complicated beadweaving and wire wrapping projects will not take you weeks to complete.  In some ways, I was almost sorry that I took the book with me on vacation, because I had only brought a bare minimum of supplies with me, and there were so many things I wanted to try right away!

***Free Stuff Alert!!!***

Would you like to win a free copy of Linda Peterson's book?  Just leave me a comment below and you'll automatically be entered.  If you tweet or post on Facebook or other social spots about the contest, you can leave a second comment and be entered twice!  Deadline: July 20, 2010.

Linda is great! I have and use this book (recent purchase ) and have been beading for 10+ years and have picked up some 'new' techniques from this artist. I have also taken 2 classes, online, at her Craftech University and have extended my talents. Thank you for giving her a deserved good review. Pat

I have not been able to craft jewelry in the last year. This book looks like a good one to jumpstart the creative ideas and make beading a priority again. I've been able to keep up with crochet since it is more conducive to start and stop, but I'm ready for some more challenging projects now.
