I received this surprise package of glorious lampwork glass beads last week, and I'm in an uproar trying to decide what to do with them. At the moment, I am enjoying just looking at them and fondling them! I have two ideas, and I think there are more than enough beads to try out both of them.
Idea #1 - I think I'm going to use the oval beads and the round beads right above them to accent a right angle weave rope that I've been intending to try. The rope can be found in Marcia DeCoster's book Beaded Opulence. Assuming that I do make this piece, I'll share pictures of it when I'm done.
Idea #2 - The opaque beads with the stripes and the dots are just so much fun! I'm thinking that they might make really good wired clusters along with some seed beads and maybe a few pearls or crystals. Those wired clusters would then be either stitched to an embroidered piece or linked to a mixed media chain piece. I'm not sure yet. What do you think?
