Book review and giveaway: 30-Minute Rings

30-Minute Rings: 60 Quick & Creative Projects for Jewelers

Yay!  The next wonderful volume in the 30-Minute series by Lark publishing is out!  30-Minute Rings was edited by Marthe Le Van, who I think has an excellent eye for putting together a great collection of eclectic styles and projects.

Most of the rings in this volume are fabricated, but there are some that are made from wire, metal clay, metal casting, and other techniques.  Oh yeah, and one ring is made from plumbing pipe.  Yup, that's right...you've got to see it to believe how cool it is!  Altogether there are 60 cool designs from 50 top designers.

***Free Stuff Alert!!!***

And now you have a chance to win this book!  Just leave me a comment below and you'll automatically be entered to win.  If you tweet or post on Facebook or other social spots about the contest, you can leave a second comment and be entered twice!

Please make sure that your link will lead me to an email address, or else I won't be able to contact you.  No contact, no win, and I simply have to go on to the next person.  Deadline: July 12, 2011.

Leaving a comment for Andrea:

When I started making jewelry ten years ago, I learned to make a necklace first. To this day, I still find making necklaces the easiest of the accessories. Earrings are challenging because of the need to design with such few items. Bracelets are challenging because of the size issue and the need to have the bracelet clasp stay under the wrist. And I have always been afraid of making rings. So I would love to win this book to help me get over my ring making fear. Andrea Trank, Heaven Lane Creations. Email is andreatrank@yahoo.com. Website featuring my jewelry is www.christinescottartfuliving.com

Well I have stepped out of my comfort zone just recently....I was really safe with stringing beads. I have been so inspired by so many of you and now have the courage to step out there. I would love to learn to make rings. This would be a great and useful gift.

For some reason, though I make and sell all kinds of jewelry, lately I've realized that I've largely neglected the ring category, so this book is especially welcome.

It would be a tremendous help and I would love to win it!

Thanks SO much for this giveaway!
