Bead Journal Project: bracelet for April

This is my Bead Journal Project piece for April. Growing grass, flowers starting to peek out from the dead leaves left behind in the garden, small leaflets beginning to unfurl...that's April in New England.  It's sparse, because we often still see snowstorms in this cruelest of months.  I wish that you could see the button that I used as a closure on this piece's got this great raised circular texture which links to the little bead stacks that are sprinkled across the bracelet.  I painted the fabric that I used for the background

Here are the instructions for how I am making these bracelets.

Another winner! You're 1/3 of the way there.

What happens at the end of the year with the completed bead journal?

Some people make their pieces to be bound into a book or mounted in a specific way. Others are making beaded buttons, individual postcards (that's what I did the first year), or ornament shapes. For me this year, the end will be just pure wearing satisfaction ;-)

It's great that you beaded sparsely, Cyndi, because it allows us to take in the lushness and spring feelings in the fabric you painted. It's lovely!!!!

Thanks guys! Robin, it felt kind of funny beading so sparsely, but I just couldn't bear to cover it all up ;-)
